the year 6 leavers dinner

 in school it was the year 6 leavers dinner. the year 6 leaver dinner is when the year 6 will have a dinner with the teachers we had a great time. when I got there we first had pictures as a condition to entry said  Mrs Jones. then when we got in the place was delightful. the place was full of Christmas lights and joy. then we started to eat the dinner was ham and chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw, and buns, and for desert we had fruit salad, pavlova, and ice cream which was french vanilla. then when we finished eating the teacher gave some of us awards some were silly and some were serious. my award was choosing my high school purely based on a sport specifically volleyball. we had some pictures together here they are.

SHS three days of CAMP

in the last three days we went to camp living springs.in camp living springs we did many activities. first we reached to the camp farm we fed sheep, deer( i named him Bambi), and goats. then we went on the tractor, the tractor's name was Harry, he pulled a wagon. then after this we went to see the cow and calf. it was really fun at the place then we walked up the hill. it was the most hardest thing we did at camp. when we got there we did many activities like monorail, orienteering, swimming, archery and air rifles, and etc there where to many activity to list when we were leaving we had a game of tricky tag then the bus cam then we went home.

penguin origami

 today in reading we have been working on making a origami of a penguin. the instructions were easy and simple but it was tiring coloring one whole side black. maybe you should try it readers.

Emperor penguins

 In reading we have been learning about penguins. Emperor penguins are the largest of the 17 species of penguin. they live in Antarctica. We watched videos and read journals about them. Then we have made D.L.O. about them. hope you learn something about these unique creatures.😄

Lemon Sugar Scrub

today in reading we had made our own Eco friendly scrub, it was called lemon sugar scrub. the ingredients were sugar, lemon, and vegetable oil. the first step was pouring the vegetable oil  Jordan poured in first. then i did the sugar i poured about three times two full and one and a half. then we did the lemons Sophie and An did this part, first they zest the lemons with a grater, then they cut it up and squeeze the inside into the bowl. then we put everything in the bowl. Sophie was the first who stirred it then me it took a long time stir since it was hard. then we put in our container then we tried for the first time. it felt like sand and at the end it was oily.

My Balance

Today in inquiry we made a balance sheet a balance sheet. A balance sheet is when we make a sheet about our balance with people, family, and even about you. The art of the pie chart are Friends and Family, Time alone, What I eat, Exercise, and Brain power. All of us did the balance sheet and all of ours were different, all of our percentages had to equal a hundred my one did , my highest percentage was about friends and family.

My Toy Plane

Today in Technology we have been looking about toys and games by making our own toy vehicle. My vehicle is a plane my planes name is the piper and what named it was The Star. The Star was a red plane had blue tips a blue dotted spine and lines on the front and back. What was easy was covering the in the inner coat. The hardest part was the stickers we had to stick on with PVA glue.

Today in math we had a problem to solve named  The Rock Pool were we had to find out how many mermaid were their. It was hard I got some help so I find ways to find out how much mermaids were their. There were three mermaids  4 octopi and 5 fish.  It was the hardest part was finding how much arms were their.  It was easy doing the eyes. This activity was fun if you want to know more comment.

Today in Art we did a drawing about our self what we had to do is get a picture of yourself cut it in a half(I recommend using a ruler). After you did that cut background to, then you draw your other side on a A4 paper. Then you glue it on a A3 paper.

Today in writing we have been learning how to use free verse poems. A free verse poem is a poem that doesn't rhyme but really connects to the topic. Samoan Culture!

Today in reading we have been learning about Samoan culture. The most common thing about Samoa is Tattooing. You can find Samoa in the Pacific Ocean between New Zealand and Hawaii. In our learning we read a comic based in a real Samoan legend it is about two twin Goddesses learning Tatau(tattoo in Samoan) and learn a song about men don't have tattoos but woman do. Today we have been reading the Harry Potter And The Philosipher Stone e were reading the last chapter sadly we didn't finished it but we read have of it. shortcut speed test

Two weeks ago we did a shortcut speed test. The shortcut speed test is  test when you use shortcuts in a speed test. first we get a buddy, my buddy was Tyler R, after when you get your buddy we started the test. What I found easy was all of it what was hard was doing screenshots.Did you do a speed test before? when you finish the speed test you had to screenshot your time.

today we did another challenge it was easy again what we had to do is. Is make twelve circles and make them into as much was to make it look like it was marching but you had to have equal rows you had to have more than one row.

today the teacher gave us another math problem we had to make six squares by just using 9 matches. it was fun at tart and hard too.

in math our math teacher gave us a challenge. the challenge was that you get a triangle and you have to flip it by changing 3 counters and only moving three counters. the way I did was that I move the top counter to the bottom middle next was that I move the two bottom counters on the side to the top like this. the challenge was easy and fun.
