Explorers of The Sunrise

Today we have been reading a text called Explorers of The Sunrise. Explorers of the sunrise is a text about Maori voyagers in the waka travelling to Rapanui/Easter island and back. the voyage was a dream to waka builder Hekunukumai Busby, it took ten months, and the crew voyaging, used the traditional methods in this trip. they first cross Tubuai, then reached mangareva, after that  travelling they had finally reached Rapanui. they had at sea for 90 days, and they were happy to have a four week break before voyaging back to New Zealand. then when they had finished resting they went back on the waka and  sailed to New Zealand again. they had now went to Moorea Tahiti, and raratonga, then got to doubtless bay.
